Top up or change plan

Two neighboring gestures with different effects: a top-up adds Sparks that never expire, a plan change alters the monthly grant. Both are paid in the app, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Everything happens in one place: your organization’s page (project menu, at the top of the sidebar › the line with its name), Sparks and plan tab, which the Sparks card at the bottom of the sidebar also opens. That’s where you read the balance, the top-ups, the subscription, the card, the billing details, the invoices and every transaction. Only admins can buy there.

The first time: who is billed

Before the first payment, the app asks who is billed: Individual (price including French VAT) or Business (price excluding VAT), the name or company name, address, country and billing email, where receipts and invoices go (yours by default). A business in the European Union enters its EU VAT number, checked against VIES before payment: Verified, or Not recognized if it doesn’t exist. You can edit these details later in the Billing card of the tab.

Top-ups

A top-up adds Sparks as soon as the payment is confirmed, and they never expire. It’s the move for busy weeks, when the month’s grant isn’t enough. You can buy one on any plan, Trial included.

Three top-ups: 700 Sparks for €9, 2,500 for €29, 10,000 for €99 (VAT included; excluding VAT for a business). Buy opens the payment window: you can still switch top-ups there, enter a promo code, and the summary shows the total, VAT included. Once Stripe confirms the payment, the app announces the Sparks added and the new balance; the invoice shows up in the Invoices card.

Paying

You pay in the window without leaving joli.studio: card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, in a frame encrypted by Stripe (joli.studio never sees your card). If your bank asks for a confirmation (3-D Secure), it appears in the same place.

Sparks arrive within seconds, not before Stripe confirms the payment. If confirmation takes a while, the app says so (“Payment received, Sparks on the way”) and grants them as soon as it arrives.

Plans

The subscription card shows the current plan, its billing period, the next payment date and its amount. Choose a plan (from Trial) or Change plan opens the grid of the four plans, with the Monthly / Annual · 2 months free toggle.

Plan Monthly Sparks / month Projects and members
Trial €0 none (300 trial Sparks, once per person) 1 and 2
Atelier €19 2,000 3 and 3
Studio €49 6,000 10 and 10
Pro €149 20,000 unlimited

Every feature is in every plan; only Sparks, projects and members change. On annual billing you pay ten months out of twelve, and Sparks are still granted every month.

Subscription Sparks arrive every month on the anniversary of your subscription: subscribe on the 25th and you get them on the 25th; they expire on the next 25th, when the new ones arrive.

Changing plans along the way

Before you confirm, the window shows what will happen:

  • to a higher plan, or from monthly to annual: right away, pro rata, charged to the saved card. The button states the amount (“Switch to Studio · €30.00”). The current period’s Sparks are topped up in place; when moving to annual, the current slice closes and a new, full one begins;
  • to a lower plan, or from annual to monthly: nothing to pay now, the change is scheduled for the renewal date (“Switch to Atelier scheduled for October 25”) and can be undone until then with Cancel the change.

A promo code is entered in the payment window, both when subscribing and for a top-up.

What you can read afterwards

The Invoices card lists the latest twenty-four, each as a PDF. The Operations card at the bottom of the tab keeps everything: subscription grants, plan-change top-ups, top-ups, Sparks added by the team and spending, project by project.

Canceling, resuming, changing card, a declined payment, withdrawing: Manage your subscription.
