Getting started
Getting started
On every new project, the “Getting started” block at the bottom right walks you in four steps to your first published post. It checks itself off.
A new project raises a simple question: where do I start? Until its first post is live, joli.studio answers it for you. A Getting started block sits at the bottom right of the project pages (Home, Calendar, Posts, Brand, Results), with four numbered steps. The current step is lit up and says what it needs. It makes way for the post editor.
The four steps
Present your brand
It leads to the Brand page: analyze your website, or build the profile step by step. It checks off once the profile is complete enough to suggest a strategy. See analyze your brand from your website.
Prepare your calendar
It leads to Calendar › Strategy. It checks off once a strategy exists and the calendar has slots. See generate a strategy.
Write your first post
It leads to the first slot on the calendar. It checks off as soon as a post is ready, scheduled or published. See create a post from a slot.
Publish it
It leads to the Publish button of the ready post. It checks off when you click “It’s live!” See publish a post.
There’s nothing for you to check: each step checks itself off based on what exists in the project. If a strategy is already there, the second step is checked too.
On Home
The project’s Home page tells the current step in large type, with its button to get there. Later lets you move on to the next step.
Fold, bring it back
- The block’s arrow folds it into a pill that keeps your progress (“Getting started · 2/4”); a click opens it again. This choice applies to this browser.
- The block can’t be closed until your first post is live: folded, it stays out of the way.
- To see it again once you’re done: the help menu, the question mark next to the bell (on a phone, at the bottom of the ☰ menu), then Show getting started again.
Once you’re done
At your first live post, after the publishing celebration, a short note says your first steps are done, once, then the block goes away.
On a phone
On a phone, a pill above the tab bar shows your progress; a tap opens the four steps in a sheet. The project’s Home still tells the current step, with its button and Later. See joli.studio on your phone.
