Turn a text into slides

Changing editor family isn’t adapting: the AI redistributes the message, and a new post is born beside the old one.

Adapting means staying in the same family: slides to slides, text to text. Converting means crossing from one family to the other: a thread becomes a carousel, a carousel becomes a text post. The work is not the same, which is why the app keeps two distinct menu entries.

The gesture

From the text editor, the Post format menu → Convert to a carousel… From the slides editor, the Post format menu → Convert to a thread or text post… From the Posts gallery, the same pair in a card’s More actions menu.

Text to slides

The window states what it is about to do: “The AI spreads the message across slides: a cover, one idea per slide, a call to action. The original stays unchanged.”

  1. Pick the target

Platform, then slide format: carousel, image, story or pin.

  2. Set the structure and the number of ideas

Structure carries over the theme of the source text; Number of ideas sets the length, and the app repeats the target’s limit: “8 slides in total · Instagram accepts 20”.

  3. Decide about images

Slide images offers None, With image or All slides. Then Generate images now: checked, they run in the background and their cost is included in the estimate; unchecked, “Image descriptions are written; you’ll start the images from the editor.”

  4. Add your instructions, then create

Instructions takes an angle, a tone, words to avoid. The What will be created preview lists the planned slides one by one, with the text cost and the image cost shown separately.

Slides to text

The other direction exists too: “The AI rewrites the slide content as text for X. The original stays unchanged.” The target is a text post, a thread or a poll. Number of posts in the thread sets the length — the app notes that “4 to 7 get read to the end” — and Reuse the image places a slide image on the posts it creates.

What is kept, what is left out

The intent travels: a “Step by step” thread becomes a “Step by step” carousel, a “Story thread” becomes a “Story”. A poll keeps its question, options and duration when the target accepts one; otherwise, “No poll here: the post asks the question and lists the options.”

And whatever doesn’t fit is said out loud. After creation, the window shows Left out: followed by what the model dropped to fit the target format. It is the opposite of a silent truncation.
