An Instagram carousel that did well deserves a life on LinkedIn. Adapting it means reusing it inside the same editor family, at the size and conventions of another platform. The result is always a new post, linked to its source: the original doesn’t move a pixel.

Opening the window

Three ways in:

  • in the editor, the Post format menu → Adapt for another platform…;
  • in the post panel, the Adaptations section → Adapt…;
  • in the Posts gallery, a card’s More actions menu → Adapt for another platform….

What the window asks for

  1. The target platform

    Platforms are tagged current, in project or other, and the ones already done carry Already adapted: no doing the same work twice by accident.

  2. The format

    Within the chosen platform, the possible formats appear along with what they imply — same slides, rewritten by AI, converted by AI — and the ones that don’t exist there say why.

  3. The settings

    The target Aspect ratio; Adapt the caption with AI (“Length, tone and hashtags for LinkedIn · alt text as a bonus”); and, if the ratio changes, Regenerate images at 4:5 — leave it unchecked and “The current images are cropped.”

  4. The preview, then Create adaptation

    The What will be created panel announces the number of slides, the format and its dimensions, the target’s caption and hashtag limits, and what happens to the images. The button carries the estimated cost.

Two very different adaptations

  • Slides to slides — the slides are reused as they are, resized to the target ratio. If you leave the caption alone, a No AI call badge appears: the adaptation costs nothing. Check Adapt the caption with AI and only the caption goes through a model.
  • Text to text — here the AI rewrites: “The AI rewrites this Text post for X: the platform’s lengths, conventions and tone.” A 3,000-character LinkedIn post does not become a 280-character X post by truncation. The cost follows the length and the number of posts: the button carries its estimate before you run anything.

What the preview tells you before you pay

The preview notes are written from the target’s real limits: “10 of 12 slides: Facebook accepts 10 (the final call to action is kept)”, “Caption: up to 3,000 characters and 3 hashtags, rewritten by the AI”, “4 images regenerated to fit their areas”. You see what gets lost before you run anything.

Language isn’t chosen here

Content is written in the project’s language, set on the brand. So an adaptation never asks for a language: it follows the project.
