Manage your subscription
Cancel and resume, change card, find your invoices, what happens when a payment is declined, the annual renewal reminder, and withdrawing within fourteen days.
On this page5
The subscription is managed where it’s bought: your organization’s page (project menu, at the top of the sidebar › the line with its name), Sparks and plan tab, by an admin. The Sparks card, at the bottom of the sidebar, leads there too. No outside page: everything happens in joli.studio.
Cancel, and resume
Cancel…, under the subscription card, opens a window that says what happens at renewal and asks why you’re leaving (a reason, plus a few words if you like). Cancel at period end confirms: the service stays whole until the end of the period already paid, and the card says so (“Cancellation scheduled for October 25”).
Until that date, Resume undoes the cancellation. At renewal, the organization goes back to Trial: nothing is deleted, top-up Sparks remain; beyond the Trial limits, you simply stop creating projects and inviting people.
Archiving a subscribed organization also schedules the cancellation at renewal, and restoring it before then resumes it. Deleting it cancels right away, with no refund for the remaining days: the window says so before you confirm.
Card and invoices
The Payment method card shows the saved card (brand, last four digits, expiry), used for each renewal and for top-ups. Change card opens a window where the new card, Apple Pay or Google Pay is saved, with your bank’s confirmation if it asks for one.
The Invoices card lists the latest twenty-four, each as a PDF, in the name set in Billing. Stripe also sends every receipt and invoice to the billing email.
A declined payment
If the card is declined at renewal, a banner at the top of the tab says so, the Sparks card at the bottom of the sidebar says so (“Payment overdue”), the organization’s line in the project menu and the Sparks and plan tab carry the same mark, and admins get an email. Change card usually settles it.
Meanwhile, Stripe retries for three weeks. The plan and its limits stay, remaining Sparks and top-ups can be spent as usual; the new month’s Sparks wait for the payment and arrive as soon as it goes through. After three weeks without payment, the subscription ends and the organization goes back to Trial, without losing any content.
Annual subscriptions
An annual subscription is paid once a year, ten months out of twelve, and its Sparks arrive every month on the anniversary date. Between three months and one month before renewal, the admins of an individual’s annual subscription get an email reminding them, with the amount and how to cancel.
Withdraw within fourteen days
If you bought as an individual, you have fourteen days to withdraw from a subscription or a top-up; when the period ends on a Saturday, a Sunday or a public holiday, it runs until the next working day. During that time, a thin line appears under the subscription card, and under the top-up concerned, with the deadline and a “Withdraw from the contract” link.
The link opens a window that does the math first: the price paid, the contract’s Sparks, those already spent, and what you get back, the share of Sparks you haven’t spent. You confirm your statement (name, email for the acknowledgment), then Confirm withdrawal. The refund goes to the payment method you used, within fourteen days; a subscription stops at once and the organization goes back to Trial. An acknowledgment arrives by email.
