Team & Sparks
Invite a member
An address, a role, a link valid for seven days. Members and Sparks belong to the organization, not to a project. An existing account accepts or declines.
On this page5
joli.studio has two levels and not one more: the organization, which holds its projects, its members and its Sparks; and the project, which holds a brand, its strategy, its posts and its tracking. So nobody is invited “to a project”: you invite them into an organization, and they see every project in it.
Inviting
Open the organization’s page
Click the project card at the top of the sidebar: the menu’s Organization section has a line with your organization’s name, which opens its page, and Invite someone, which goes straight to the Members tab with the email field ready. The page carries the organization’s name and four tabs: Projects, Members, Sparks and plan and Settings. From two active projects on, Projects, in the sidebar group named after the organization, opens this page too (next to Overview and Schedule).
Fill in the “Invite” card
In the Members tab, the Invite card asks for an Email and a Role. That is all. Your own address just has to be confirmed: until it is, the invitation is refused.
Pass the link along
If email sending is set up, an email goes out with the link, and the link isn’t shown: only the invited person reads it, in their inbox. If it isn’t, the app says so plainly — “Email sending isn’t set up: share the link yourself.” — and only then does it show the link to copy.
An address that doesn’t have an account yet creates one by opening the link, and lands straight in the organization.
Inviting someone who is already a member is refused: “… is already a member of the organization.” To change their role, use the menu on their row.
Invitations are counted: twenty a day per organization at most, revoked ones included, and three a day for the same address. Past that, the invitation waits until the next day.
If the person already has an account
Nobody joins an organization without accepting. When the address already has a joli.studio account, the card says so: “This address already has an account: the invitation is waiting for them in joli.studio. They only join the organization once they accept.”
The invitation waits for them in three places:
- an email, “… invites you to …”, with a View invitation button;
- the notification bell, which leads to the same page;
- a card at the top of the Organizations page (organization switcher › All organizations), showing who invited them, the role offered and the expiry.
They pick Join or Decline. Joining takes them into the organization with the role you chose; their own organizations stay theirs. Until their address is confirmed, neither the bell nor the card announces it: the link in the email is enough.
Two roles, no more
- Admin — creates projects and manages the team and credits: that is the exact wording shown under the member list. Only an admin changes the plan, tops up, or archives and deletes the organization.
- Member — works inside the projects: brand, strategy, posts, export, tracking. They can read the Spark balance and the history of operations, but not change them.
A member row’s menu switches someone from one role to the other (Make admin, Make member), or does Remove from organization. A member can also leave on their own: Leave organization.
Pending invitations
Until it is accepted, an invitation sits in the Pending invitations list, with its role, its expiry and who sent it. Two buttons: Copy link and Revoke. For an address that already has an account, only Revoke remains: the invitation is waiting for them in joli.studio.
A declined invitation stays in the list, marked Declined (“declined … ago”), so you know. It can’t be sent again: Remove clears it. To invite the same address again, go back to the Invite card; the new invitation replaces the old one.
How many members
Each plan comes with its own number of members and active projects: Trial 2 and 3, Atelier 3 and 3, Studio 10 and 10, Pro unlimited.
The member count is enforced: past it, Invite is refused — “The Atelier plan allows 3 members at most. Switch plans to invite more.” — with See plans under the form. Invitations still waiting for an answer already take their seat: revoking one frees it. The refusal also applies on the way in: if the last seat is taken in the meantime, the invitation page says so instead of offering Join. The Trial plan counts two people: enough to try it together before picking a plan.
Switching plans never removes anyone: an organization that ends up over its limit keeps its members, it simply adds no more.
