Getting started

Create your first project

A project is a brand, its networks and its strategy. Four fields are enough, and the app drops you straight onto its brand profile.

Everything in joli.studio lives under a project: its brand, its strategy, its calendar, its posts, its tracking. One organization can hold several — one per brand, or one per client.

Before you start

You have to be an admin of the organization: members can see projects but not create them. If the list is empty and you are not an admin, the screen says so: “An organization admin creates projects.”

How many active projects you get depends on the organization’s plan: three on Trial as on Atelier, ten on Studio, no limit on Pro. The details are on the Pricing page.

When the plan is full, New project says so — “Plan is full” — instead of creating one, with See plans. Archiving a project frees its place; restoring an archived project takes one back. Nothing is ever archived or deleted for you: an organization back on Trial with more than three projects keeps them all, it just can’t open a new one.

Step by step

  1. Open the “New project” window

Three paths lead there: the “New project” button at the top of the organization’s project list, the dashed card at the end of that list, or “New project” in the project menu, the card at the top of the sidebar.

  2. Name the project

“Project name,” 80 characters at most. It is the only required field: “Create project” stays disabled while it is empty. If you administer more than one organization, an “Organization” field appears above it.

  3. Pick the goal

“Goal” offers “Promote a product,” “Grow an audience” and “Both” — that last one is selected by default. It weights the post type mix the strategy will suggest, and you can change it later in the project settings.

  4. Check your platforms

“Platforms”: Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest. Instagram and LinkedIn are checked by default, and at least one has to stay checked. Then hit “Create project.”

Once the project exists, a message confirms it — “Project created · Start with its brand profile.” — and you land straight on its Brand page.

What you set up afterward

Project settings fit in four tabs: “General,” “Platforms,” “Data” and “Danger zone.” Among other things, you will find:

  • “Content language” — the language the AI writes posts in, separate from the language of the interface. It is detected on your website during the brand analysis, and the screen flags it then: “Detected on the website.”
  • “Time zone” — the one the calendar goes by.
  • “Goal” — the same one as in the creation window, as a dropdown.

What’s next

The project has just been born and its brand profile is empty. Two paths open on the Brand page: analyze your brand from your website, or fill in your profile step by step.
