# Paste your site, get your wall

> One address, no account, and about forty-two seconds: wall.joli.studio reads your website and lays out the first nine posts of your brand, as a grid. What the wall does, and what it doesn’t.

Explaining joli.studio takes a few minutes: a brand, a strategy, an editor, formats. Showing it should take less. Hence **wall.joli.studio**: one field, one button, and your brand in nine posts, with no account and no card.

You paste a website address. joli.studio reads the site, the way the Brand page already does, then lays out the start of an Instagram grid: nine posts in your colors, your fonts and your voice, on topics drawn from your site. The wall gets its own address — `wall.joli.studio/yoursite.com` — to open, share and show around.

If the site can’t be read, the wall accepts a short description of the brand instead, and only then. Such a wall carries the “Described by a visitor” badge, and it doesn’t appear on the Wall.

## Forty-two seconds, give or take

We had written “thirty seconds” on the mockups. Then we timed twenty websites from very different trades — a bakery, a coffee roaster, a climbing gym, a software company, a bookshop, a museum… — and the full wall lands in **about 42 seconds**. So we wrote “~42 seconds”. Less round, but true.

Those seconds aren’t spent waiting. The reading shows itself as it goes: the pages read, the colors, the fonts, the voice, the topics, then the look it picked. The posts then drop into the grid one by one; the first one shows up in about twenty seconds.

> The wall doesn’t summarize your site: it turns it into nine posts you could have published.

## Nine posts that come from your site

The topics come from what your site says, not from a list of one-size-fits-all ideas: what you make, how you make it, what you promise, who you talk to. The posts are written in your site’s language, whatever the language of the page.

One rule holds here as in the app: **nothing made up**. No imaginary customer testimonial, no figure out of thin air. A quote only appears if your site carries one.

The wall also picks its **look** — the silhouette of your slides — among the two or three that suit your brand, and you can try all eight in one click. Changing the look rewrites nothing: only the drawing changes.

## Carousels, and you can tell

A post on the wall isn’t always a single image. When the topic calls for it — a list, steps, a story — it’s a carousel of three to seven slides. The wall shows its count, “9 posts · 22 slides” for instance, and makes it visible without a click:

- a **badge** on each carousel says how many slides it has;
- at rest, one post at a time **turns its page**;
- on hover, the mouse scrubs through the carousel;
- a post opens large, with its filmstrip, its caption and its own address.

## The Wall

The walls left visible make up **the Wall**: the gallery of every brand that came through, to browse by trade, by look, or at random. Open a wall there, and start again from what you like: “Make mine in this look”.

A switch, “Show on the Wall”, decides whether yours appears there. It is on for a wall you make for yourself.

## Give a wall

Love a brand? You can draw its wall and send it to them, with your first name if you like. A wall you give stays off the Wall: the brand decides, when opening it, to keep it and make it real, or to take it down.

Because making the wall of a brand that isn’t yours remains an **exercise**: every wall says so, “Not affiliated”, on its page and on its share card. No logo is reproduced, no photo is taken from the site.

> **It’s my brand**
>
> A brand can prove the site is theirs — through a link sent to an address on their domain (never a public email provider, where anyone can get an address), or a tag on their home page. They can then take the wall down, right away, redo it, or keep it.

## Nothing to take away, everything to publish

The wall is there to look at and to share: a card for X and LinkedIn, a story, a link. It doesn’t download, and its captions don’t copy. To publish these posts, there is one door: **create your studio**.

And the wall arrives whole. When you sign up, your first project is born with the brand read from your site, the wall’s look and its nine posts as drafts — the post you had opened at the top of the list. Nothing is redone, and nothing comes out of your Sparks: the 300 from the trial are kept for what comes next, the strategy and the posts to come.

> **Images, never yours**
>
> When images are on, up to four posts on the wall get an image generated for them, laid out like a checkerboard across the grid; the others stay typographic, drawn in their look. The wall waits for the last image before it opens. And never a photo taken from your site.
