# Fill in your profile step by step

> Six short steps, all optional, with a preview that keeps up as you type. The path to take when you have no website, or when you would rather write it yourself.

Updated 2026-10-02

Analyzing a website is fast, but it assumes there is a website. The step-by-step path asks for nothing more than answers to six short questions — and it spends no Sparks at all.

## Before you start

Open “Brand” in the project sidebar (“Profile” tab). If the profile is blank, the page offers three paths: “Import your branding,” “Build step by step” and “Or build it by talking,” where you tell the story of your brand and the assistant files the answers into blocks. The second one tells you upfront what it costs in time: “6 steps · 5 min.” Click “Start.”

If the profile has already been started, the button reads “Resume step by step” and takes you back to the first step still left empty.

## The six steps

A counter follows them at the top: “Step 1 of 6 · everything is optional.” On the right, a preview marked “Live” shows the result taking shape.

1. **Identity — “Introduce your brand”**

The name, a tagline and a few sentences of description, plus the industry. “The AI uses them to frame every post.”

2. **Audience and offer — “Who is your brand talking to?”**

Your audience, your value propositions, your products or services. Posts speak to those people directly.

3. **Voice — “How does your brand sound?”**

A few tone adjectives, then “To do” and “To avoid,” and your keywords. These are the rules the AI follows in every piece of copy.

4. **Colors — “Brand colors”**

Start from ready-made colors, then adjust each one; the preview follows along.

5. **Fonts and logo**

One font for headings, one for body text, and your logo if you have one. An SVG logo is converted to PNG in your browser before it’s sent.

6. **Socials and handles — “Where can people find you?”**

The handle shown on slides, and a link to each of your accounts.

## What you can skip

All of it. “Skip” moves on without writing anything, “Back” returns to the previous step, “Leave and finish later” closes the flow and hands you back the Brand page. In the step list, each one shows its state: “In progress,” “Skipped,” or a summary of what you put in it. The last step ends with “Finish” instead of “Next.”

> **Tip**
>
> The step-by-step path and the analysis are not mutually exclusive. Start by hand, run the analysis afterward: it will only fill the fields you left empty. The reverse works too — analyze first, then correct chapter by chapter.

## Two fields worth a detour

- **The tone.** The profile’s “What you say” chapter offers “Try a sentence”: you give an idea, the AI writes it in the tone you just described, for ✦ 1, and you keep it as an example or not. It is the quickest way to find out whether your adjectives say what you think they say.
- **Image styles.** They aren’t part of the step-by-step: they have their own tab, “Styles,” on the Brand page. A style is a type — photo, illustration, product or graphic — and a direction, written in your language. Start from a gallery idea, from images you like or from your own words: see [create an image style](/en/guide/create-an-image-style/). A brand has up to five; each post has its own, and each image can switch.

## What’s next

The profile becomes your brand’s book. In the sidebar, next to “Brand,” a ring shows how complete it is: from 75% on, you can [generate a strategy](/en/guide/generate-a-strategy/). Before that, take a moment to [choose your fonts, colors and look](/en/guide/choose-your-fonts-and-palette/): they end up on every single slide.
